the boarding lounge..!!

Flight no.KF174 heading towards New Delhi has been delayed for 2 hours. It will now arrive at 1730 hours and depart at 1800 hours.

"Damn man!! What am I supposed to do for another two hours?"

The hurricane lashed out all along America, delaying flights and my plans of travelling back home.
Having no choice other than waiting, I started towards the waiting area, picked up some magazines on the way, wondering how to while away two hours with no almost no battery in my smartphone. Just Another day in paradise.
Making myself at home in the lounge area, I started flipping through the magazine. Soon, the magazine got boring, and I flipped around checking out the airport like I had something better to do.

Suddenly, my eyes diverted towards this young Indian girl, and an unearthly chill settled down upon me. I mean, I'm one of those guys who never believed in those "LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT' stuff, but seeing that girl sitting right in front of me, completely oblivious to the world, headphones plugged in, a MILLS-AND-BOON in her hand, beautiful hair curling down at the ends with a little tinge of golden in a world of black, those big eyes filled with innocence giving a hint of her innocence, the black eye-brows guarding her eyes in an eerie yet amazing way, the lightly freckled face brimming with peace, innocence and compassion.

The more I tried to avoid looking at her, the more I dwelled into her, her eyes, her thoughts were inviting me towards her, and for the first time in my life, I wasn't in control of myself. All voiced hushed and movement paused, as if time itself did not dare continue its incessant journey in the presence of such a creature. Her beauty was both unnatural and breath-taking-a nightmare in motion yet poetry personified, and none could tear their eyes away from her. From the first moment they were ensnared. They stood no hope of escape.

Suddenly, those big eyes looked up, catching me completely off-guard. My heart stopped, jaw dropped, but my eyes refused to look away. The eyes met, and a warm feeling surged through my body, a smile appeared out of the blue, and my heart elated. A smile wiped me of my worries, and all I could feel was happiness, love, passion in the world. Seeing her see me like that made me feel on the top of the world. For the first time, I really started to believe all the hype caused by love, the guitars humming, complete elation, no worries, only wish is to be with the other person forever, keep looking and admiring her. That look stopped the time in my world and all I could do was stare directly into her eyes.

*PASSENGERS FOR FLIGHT NK-54 HEADING TOWARDS MUMBAI ARE REQUESTED TO HEAD TOWARDS THE BOARDING AREA 4, IT IS SCHEDULED TO DEPART IN 10 MINS* The irritating voice ruined the "PERFECT" moment.

Looking flustered as well as disappointed, she started to wind up her things, and was looking ready to leave. And all that seemed to end up that moment. Watching her pack up her stuff, I opened up my magazine again. *SIGH*

Watching her go, felt like a blow to the heart. Our eyes met again, sadness also developed in her eyes, and there she was. GONE. And I was here with my stupid magazine. i again looked at the seat where she was seated just a few minutes back, and suddenly my eyes diverted towards the book she was reading. Getting up almost instantly, I grabbed that book and flipped to the last page, and there it was scribbled, Her name along with her phone no. And once again, that happiness and warmth surged through my body. FOr the first time in my life, I believed what it is like to be in love, and the notion of LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT, is correct.

The only escape..!!

*YOU ARE NOT SELECTED*

As the website displayed Aditya's rank, he let out a sigh. He thought everything would be perfect after these results would be declared. He had imagined all those happy scenarios where his parents, his family, friends etc. would all be proud of him. But now since the results were declared, those dreams started to fade away into the darkness.

Another failure in his life. For the past two years, his life had been nothing but a loser's track file. No matter, how hard he worked, no matter how much effort he put, the so called "GOOD FATE" had refused to show up its face to Aditya.

Tense thoughts started to race through his mind, cold sweat developed over his forehead. Fear engulfed all his body. Sitting on his bed, blankly watching at the screen which flashed his failure was all that he could do. He stared in utter disbelief that all that he had waited for since two years all had gone down the drain in a few moments. His whole life was ruined. His phone started to ring, notifications, messages started to creep up, all with by his friends sharing out their success to the world.

Sunburn

Being one of the lucky few, me and my friends including Ritvik Gautam and Ashmita srivastava got the free VIP passes to the SUNBURN festival in Goa.Having finished with our exams,we decided to make the best out of this amazing opportunity and the next day we were on our way to GOA- THE BEACH CAPITAL OF INDIA. We went in our car, and the way the roads paved around the mountains, with trees on each side, it felt like a journey to heaven. The journey was fun, and the anticipation of the festival made it more enriching.
Soon having reached Goa, we decided not to waste time, and checking quickly into a Hotel, raced off to the the nearest beach.

Blue sky, scorching sun, blistering heat, people walking barefooted enjoying the feel of the wet sand in their feet, some lazying around on the beach chairs, under the palms enjoying the children making sandcastles, young ups playing water sports, taking dives to cool themselves off. This was just a regular day on the Anjuna Beach in Goa in the middle of summer.
