those days..!!

There is a universal truth we all have to face whether we want to or not. Everything eventually ends. As much as I’ve looked forward to this day, I’ve always disliked endings. The last day of summer, the final chapter of a great book, parting ways with a close friend. But endings are inevitable. Leaves fall, we close the book, you say goodbye. Today is one of those days for us. Today we say goodbye to everything that was familiar everything that was comfortable. We’re moving on. But just because we are leaving, and that hurts, there are some people who are so much a part of us they’ll be with us no matter what. They are our solid ground, our north star. And the small clear voices in our hearts that will be with us. Always.

As In my veins-Andrew Belle played along with the aforementioned words in the crime series CASTLE, my mind wandered off to days where the words FRIENDSHIP and LOVE had their true meanings, people actually cared for each other, when life was far from all worries, fears and responsibilities did not seem to exist. And then my hands started scribbling and the following came out.

others become a part of you.

As we go on

I remember

All the times we

had together

And if our lives were to change

come what may

We all still be

Friends forever

No more hanging out at the corners,

No more teasing others

no more lying to teachers about the homework,

no more of all the fun we had.

Everything will change,

Nothing will stay the same,
People will go their way
And miss the days
When life was about having fun
and not caring 'bout what lay ahead.

As I travel down these roads
encountering new challenges
I will still embrace the inner child
the sweet child of mine.
